Since 1724, the Muret family, heir to the original producers, the CAUMALE family, has been intent for generations on enhancing its Gaube vineyards in Perquie near Villeneuve de Marsan.
Following the remarkable development work done by his father Jacques-Pascal Corderoy du Tiers, his son Henri is passionate about continuing the family tradition devoted to this prestigious Armagnac previously called “Grand Bas-Armagnac”, which is still carefully & patiently grown in the cellars of the Muret family in Gaube.

The Bas Armagnac from the Muret cellars are cherished given their authentic character, their unrivalled quality, their rich & deep taste as well as the characteristics of the different vintages resulting from the harvest’s & barrel’s special surroundings. As a result, we can supply connoisseurs with a broad choice of old Armagnacs marked by the prestigious soil they grow on.

The estate’s vineyards cover approximately four hectars & consist in Baco & Colombard grapes. They are cultivated & harvested by the Serres family whose skills result from the experience they gathered over generations of family tradition. The oak barrels whose vintage refers to the year of the harvest are stored in cellars with several hundreds of Armagnac hectolitres produced since 1976. No mixing is done between the Armagnac produced during different years. The bottles are filled in the cellars as the sales proceed. They bear the vintage of the barrel, hence the year the harvest took place.
